June of this year I was able to visit this store and going there and actually being inside it was OVERWHELMING. Its true what most people say about this store... it's overwhelming if you have never been in to one before. There was a plethora of products that you just want to play with and look at and marvel that you could spend well over an hour without realizing it. Anyway.. with that said this was the first and definitely not the last I would go there. I am a huge cosmetics trial freak. I like to try anything and everything that people would rave about especially if it's for the same skin type skincare as me. (oily dehydrated sensitive acne prone... yes... it exists... my skin is oily but if i put makeup on you will see flaking..) I try pretty much try anything that i deem might help my skin especially I've been getting hormonal acne the past few years and it is beyond annoying since i didn't get it when i was a teenager. Aaaanyhow... I got my hand on a few goodies, most of which are face washes and a body buffer
... as you can see I haven't used "Herbalism" much and I haven't even touched "Buffy." I have used "Fresh Farmacy" and "Coal Face" though.
THE VERDICT
"Fresh Farmacy" has got to be my favorite out of the three face soaps. It has not irritated my skin.. my skin feels soft after I wash it. My skin isn't super tight right after. You can put this soap against your face or lather it up with your hands.. either is fine.
"Coal Face".... i like this one but i can't really put the soap in straight contact with my face because its too gritty and i feel like its going to scratch my face.. and also it feels a bit uncomfortable.
"Herbalism" is nice... good if i want to exfoliate (and I used to love exfoliating my face because it doesn't seem like its clean enough most of the time). But I think if I didn't like Fresh Farmacy I would pay more attention to this
I'll have a separate revie on the ones not reviewed in here.
Now... after going here and snatching up a copy of Lush Times... I started looking at more of their stuff and since there are stores here in SoCal... I will visit and get more things from here (I promised myself haha)
So.... I ended up picking up a tin for the Body Butter which Buffy is in and a Solid Soap tin also.
I also got a "Big" solid conditioner and "Trichomania" solid shampoo. I wanted to get Grease Lightning too but they ran out.
Trichomania is pretty cool... it does smell pretty good... it lathers nicely but you have to be sure to lather it up with your hands and then maybe after lather it more against our hair. I use it for the tips of my hair since my tips are pretty dry and so far its made it pretty darn soft and not so dry.
I haven't used the conditioner yet so I'll get back to that when I can.
Now... Today I was so excited to get home from work because I had ordered some stuff online on July 4th. They have a flat shipping rate which is cool and it did get here pretty fast. Most of the things i got you can get at the store but since I couldn't get Grease Lightning at the store i just got it online. Yes... I gave in to the online shopping because they had things in there that are online exclusive that I wanted to try (mostly soap).
So... i got the "Little Green Bag" "Red Rooster Soap" "Pineapple Grunt Soap" "Queen of Hearts Soap" "Reincarnate Solid Shampoo" "Tea Tree Toner Tabs" "Tea Tree Toner" and of course the "Grease Lightning". The soaps I got just because I wanted to try them... I opted for the Little green bag instead of the Happy Feet set that I had originally wanted because i didn't think i would be using those products much so, yea. Oh! I did get a teeny Miranda Tropical Fragrance which is cool because it was free and I looked online I don't think it's out yet so I get to smell it before it comes out ^_^
Well... that's it for the collective Lush haul and a mini review. I'll post some reviews on these products when I feel like I've used them long enough to give it a fair verdict.
